High-temperature self-energy corrections to x-ray absorption spectra

Effects of finite-temperature quasiparticle self-energy corrections on x-ray absorption spectra are investigated within the local density $GW$ approximation up to temperatures $T$ order Fermi temperature. To facilitate calculations, we parametrize using low-order polynomial fits. We show that temperature-driven decrease in electron lifetime substantially broadens near-edge region with increasing $T$. However, shift is most strongly modified near onset plasmon excitations.
